Some more tomfoolery and shenanigans...

Okay, not really... It's just stop motion animation that I did today...

SUPER STOP MOTION LIP SYNC TEST!

Did this on the "EyeCreate" on the PlayStation 3. Looks a bit jittery because I had nothing holding him into place, so the model was sliding about everywhere.
To do this, all I had to do was cut out a bunch of mouths and eyes, record my voice, listen to the voice and write down what mouth should be on at what time, and then animate.

Other Hobbies...

People do weird things when they're not clever enough to express their feelings with words. Some get angry about it and feel the need to get violent, some back down and fall into a state of self pity. I on the other hand make really bad music, because not only do I draw, make games and animate. I also try my hand at making music! I've made over 300 songs since 2006 (I really have lost count). I tend not to share them with anyone because most of them are experimental.

The only reason why I'm sharing this one is because the one person who listens to them is on holiday, and I feel if at least one other person has heard it, then I didn't waste my time.

... or something like that.

I make all sorts of music, but all sequenced (basically, I don't play any instruments, I just layout the tune). I really have improved since 2006, I listened to my older stuff not long ago... It's terrible!!

I'm also making my own music for my game I'm making, progress is very slow at the moment...
Hey, we all need hobbies...

The Stray

Story

Set in the bleak future, where air on earth has been contaminated. With the air being impure, people of earth now have to roam the streets with gas masks and spare air canisters to survive.
The story follows "the stray", a lonely human that wonders the planet helping those in need...

In this 3 panel instalment, The stray is protecting an endangered tree from the outlaw group, The Lumberjax.

Lumberjax

The Lumberjax are usually causing havoc in the city, but jump at any chance to make money, as the tree could be sold for alot due to its rarity, the Lumberjax stop at nothing to chop it down.

Game Progress 2

Here's a quick video of what my game looks like right now...
Watch in full screen for better viewing.
Please excuse any spelling mistakes...

Also this was posted on March 7th but blogger is weird, this isn't a video from the future...

"Sketched" (2008)

I abandoned this project as the jokes just weren't as funny as I thought they would be, I think that my animation skills may have been the problem, the timing was off and everything...

Here's the long lost intro I just found on a random CD along with some of the sketches (They're pretty bad).

Animation and music by me...

The main problem I had with Sketched was the timing, as it's hard to time jokes when your constructing them from a time line. I do think my animation has gotten better thanks to my Ball Face animations, but I don't think I'll be continuing this. Ball Face on the other hand has been running trough my mind a lot lately, along with my game...

Game Progress

In November 2008 I finished a game I was making called "Prototype Demon" using Game Maker, it was based off a small comic book I doodled on the back of my science sheets in high school, it was heavily inspired by the Manga and Animation "Akira".

I later uploaded it to Yoyo Games.

As of now I'm reusing the "Prototype Demon" file to create a brand new game, it doesn't have a name yet and I probably wont even finish it.

Main character sprite.

It's about a girl trapped in her dream, and can only wake up once she has beaten her nightmares. The player must journey across 5 dream like levels and overcome any nightmares along the way.

At the moment there isn't a lot finished, but it's an idea that's been on my mind ever since I was making "Rock 2" (which wasn't finished). I have a map screen, collectables, basic movements and two music tracks.
Here's the graphic for level one (Crystal City) on the map screen.

I'm hoping to make this game as surreal as possible as it's set in a dream/nightmare, I'm entering this with an "anything goes" approach, it'll be fun to see how this turns out.

Epic Proportions

I know, it's more exaggerated than epic. I'll be uploading a lot more now, I got myself a scanner (woo). Took me a while to get it working, seems the extra money I bought it for was for all the error messages (naughty words were said)...

Oh here's another one...

Yeeeaaaahhh, I just wanted to draw something funky...
